❗️Iran demands compensation from five Arab states over role in US-Israeli strikes Iran has demanded compensation from Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, and Jordan, on the basis that they enabled US-Israeli strikes during the war. In a Monday letter addressed to Antonio Guterres and Jamal Fares Alrowaiei, envoy Amir Saeid Iravani said these states “breached their international obligations” by enabling US-Israeli attacks against Iran and should be held responsible and pay compensation for the losses suffered during the war. The demand follows a sharp escalation that began with joint US-Israeli strikes on 28 February, which killed thousands and caused widespread destruction across Iran, with US forces using the territory and facilities of these states to carry out attacks. Iran responded with retaliatory strikes across the region, including on locations hosting US military assets.
