Palestinian Journalists Protection Center (PJPC): — We condemn the ongoing prevention by the "israeli" occupation authorities of foreign journalists entering the Gaza Strip for the second consecutive year, a deliberate attempt to obscure the truth and prevent the documentation of crimes committed against civilians. The unjustified "israeli" measure aims to prevent foreign press teams from being witnesses to the massacres and atrocities committed by occupation forces in the Gaza Strip. Local journalists in Gaza are not merely news reporters, but witnesses to the bloody events, and they have been systematically targeted to prevent journalistic coverage of the war on the Strip. Despite wearing identifying vests that distinguish them, occupation forces deliberately target them, constituting a flagrant violation of international law. The occupation army has killed one journalist and seriously injured three others at the beginning of the second year of the horrific war it is waging against the people of the Gaza Strip.
