^^^Continued from above. The ship gives the WHO visibility, and the timing is rather uncanny. The WHO has "confirmed" (via PCR test—oh boy!) 7 hantavirus cases: 3 dead, 1 critical, 3 mild. In 2022, we had the same issues, fearing a release of hemorrhagic fever and Marburg in particular. At the time, the HHS and Congress invoked the PREP Act’s Marburg provisions and quickly spent the funds. At the same time, during the Chinese Olympics, 400 million Chinese people were locked in their homes due to a “variant” of an infection labeled as hantavirus – a form of hemorrhagic fever. We were worried then about the WHO grabbing sole power over every nation in May 2022. Looks like the same playbook to me, but at least the US is no longer part of it.

When we hear about cruise ship outbreaks (see today's earlier post), the WHO is always at the center of it. The US was a founding member of WHO in 1948, but officially left in January 2026, one year after formal notice was given. Trump cited "profound failures" in the COVID-19 response, failure to investigate the origins of the pandemic, lack of transparency, and resistance to necessary reforms. Is it a coincidence that the ship outbreak is happening just as WHO is once again negotiating the Pandemic Treaty? They can't agree on the Pathogen Access and Benefit Sharing (PABS), e.g. how countries share pathogen data/samples and ensure equitable access to vaccines and treatments. There's a dispute and they can't ratify the treaty until it is solved. 🔹👉🏻@SherriTenpenny

I wouldn't worry too much about the hantavirus cruise ship hype. https://youtube.com/shorts/khoJQV46JCw?si=0hSEiA7DSJOwudhO The strain has been known for literally almost a century in South America, where they get ~200 cases a year that we don't hear about. No rats have been found on the ship, and the Dutch couple was likely already infected when they boarded a ship. Remember in COVID when one of the early scares was the cruise ship outbreaks? It just seems too familiar. They do a pandemic exercise and then all of a sudden there is an outbreak. Interesting that the outbreak is when many people are going on summer cruises. Regarding pandemic exercises, hantavirus is rarely chosen for large-scale pandemic simulations like Event 201 because it is not efficiently transmitted person-to-person, so it tends to cause localized outbreaks, not global pandemics. Hantavirus is a single strand RNA virus, just as are COVID, ebola, & Marburg. These are all effectively treated with zinc, ivermectin and quercetin.
