Protocols Shut Down in 2026 30+ protocols have shut down in 2026 so far across DeFi, NFTs, gaming, and infrastructure. Some had real users, some had real funding. GameFi got wiped out as a category that raised hundreds of millions in 2021-2023 essentially evaporated as token prices crashed and players moved on.
