European leaders have come to an agreement on migration and asylum after years of negotiation. The deal will supposedly enable memberstates to more easily deport failed asylum seekers, while also giving states the option to either take in asylum claimants or pay into a fund in lieu of taking migrants. Many in the media are openly saying this deal was struck in order to deal with the rise of the "far-right" and if this is indeed the case it misses the point entirely. Europeans are not merely fed up with the aslyum seekers, but with the demographic change and social dissintegration happening all around them. European leaders can proclaim their intention to attempt and curtail aslyum all they want, it won't make a difference to the rise of ethnic-nationalism. Germany has still made legislative changes to enable 1.5 million legal immigrants to come to the country from outside Europe per year. Meloni's fake 'nationalist' government is still going to welcome 452,000 legal immigrants over the next three years. And Sweden's conservative-'nationalist' coalition has overseen a drastic increase in legal immigration numbers in just the past year.
