At the height of US slavery, 78% of slave owners were jewish. Since only 1.6% of the total population owned slaves, and jews made up 3.125% of the population, this means that 40% of jews owned slaves, while only 0.35% of whites owned slaves. 🔗Ryan (@forbiddenmerch)
