🗺 Portugal 🇵🇹 The waves at Nazaré are a unique phenomenon that attracts surfers from around the world. The reason for these massive waves is the structure of the ocean floor. Nazaré is located near the underwater canyon of the same name—the Nazaré Canyon. It is one of the deepest canyons in Europe, with a length of 227 km and a depth of about 5 km.
