Germany🇩🇪 Bremen - the oldest of Germany's coastal cities, originally born as a fishing village, but gradually became the second most important port in the country, second only to Hamburg. ⚓️ The Marktplatz square is surrounded by historic buildings from the 13th century, many of which were restored by the city's residents themselves after the Second World War. 🕍 The oldest coastal city in Germany is first mentioned in 782 AD. In 787 AD, Bremen became the residence of a bishop by the decision of Charlemagne and played an important role in the Christianization of Northern Europe. It was called the "Rome of the North." ⛪️ #Germany @voyage
