Turkey 🇹🇷 The Rüstem Pasha Mosque, founded in 1650 by the grand vizier of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, was built in a rather unusual location. 😍🕌 The Tahtakale district looks the same as it did 500 years ago: a multitude of ancient trading houses standing closely together, with a flow of goods, merchants, and craftsmen taking advantage of its proximity to the docks. 🏬🛍 Twice in its history, the mosque underwent significant destruction—in the fire of 1666 and during the earthquake of 1776, but it was rebuilt each time. 🏗 #Turkey @voyage
