Abkhazia, Georgia🇬🇪 The Inguri Hydroelectric Power Station is the largest hydroelectric power station in the Caucasus. It is located on the Inguri River on the administrative border between Abkhazia and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti in Georgia. The station was built in the 1970s and commissioned in 1978. The main structure of the hydroelectric power station is an arched concrete dam with a height of 271.5 meters and a crest length of 728 meters, making it the second highest in the world. 🌊⛰ The Inguri Reservoir, created as a result of the construction of the hydroelectric power station, is the largest reservoir in Georgia.
