Portugal, Fort of Divine Grace🇵🇹 The Fort of Divine Grace (Fort Conde de Lippe) is located 12 kilometers from the border of Portugal with Spain and one kilometer north of the border town of Elvas, of which it is a part of the fortifications. It was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2012. 🏰 Since the 13th century, when Elvas was taken from the Moors, the city has served as a border fortress between Portugal and Spain, repeatedly repelling Spanish attacks. Bastions and forts around Elvas were built over several centuries, turning it into a fortified city capable of withstanding a long siege by the enemy. #Portugal @voyage
