🇲🇾Daim's Daughter Pleads Not Guilty in Malaysia Asnida Abdul Daim appeared before Sessions Court Judge Rosli Ahmad in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty to a charge of submitting an incomplete asset declaration to Malaysia's Anti-Corruption Commission. The MACC alleges she failed to declare shareholdings in five companies when responding to a formal notice in December 2023. The charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a fine of up to 100,000 ringgit. The court granted bail at 50,000 ringgit, ordered Asnida to surrender her passport, and set May 21 for the next hearing. The case is part of the MACC's broader "Op Godfather" investigation into assets linked to her late father, former finance minister Daim Zainuddin, his family, and associates.
