🌙 With the holy month of Ramadan coming to an end, it's important to remember the significance of giving Zakat, a form of charity that purifies our wealth and helps those in need. ☪️ As Muslims, one of our fundamental responsibilities is to pay Zakat, which is mentioned in the Quran 📖 and is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Here are a few reasons why paying Zakat is so important: 1️⃣It helps those in need: Zakat is a means of providing for the less fortunate members of society, including the poor, the sick, and the needy. By paying Zakat, we can help to alleviate their suffering and ensure that they have access to basic necessities 💚 2️⃣It purifies our wealth: Zakat is a way to purify our wealth and earn the blessings of Allah. By giving a portion of our wealth to those in need, we can rid ourselves of greed and materialism and cultivate a spirit of generosity and compassion ☘️ 3️⃣It strengthens our faith: Paying Zakat is an act of worship that helps to strengthen our faith and deepen our connection with Allah. It reminds us of our responsibilities as Muslims and encourages us to live a life of piety and righteousness 💪 🤔So, how do we calculate Zakat? The general rule is that Zakat is 2.5% of our wealth that has been in our possession for a year or more.
