During recent widespread protests in Los Angeles, Apple Stores became targets for looters. However, stolen iPhones proved to be an unexpected deterrent. These devices, once taken, began emitting loud alarms and displaying messages such as: "Return this iPhone to Apple Tower. This device is disabled & tracked. Authorities have been notified." Faced with these conspicuous and traceable devices, many individuals reportedly abandoned the phones in the streets.
