Men now worked at factories and the prosperity allowed women and children to stop working. Created the "housewife" and the idea that children start working after 20. House becomes a place of consumption, since all work happens outside the home. Key word: Centralization 3) Digital revolution Lots of wealth creation and entrepreneurship opportunities. People can now start businesses from home. House is now a place of production again. Power returning back to the people as everyone has more opportunity (for example, you can now tweet and put your words out to the world - instead of relying on TV and newspapers to allow you to do so) We're in the latter half of this revolution. First half was the information age and entertainment age where the web was used to get information (90s and 00s) and entertainment (00s and 10s). Now we are moving towards decentralization and IOT.

On society's molding of men and women: Men want women who are young, fertile, and pure (virgin and innocent). This is why society shames old single women as spinsters and impure women as sluts/whores/easy. The reason why men want this is to ensure their lineage, and ensure that the children is theirs. Remember, we evolved before we had the technology to DNA test. Women want men who are strong, stable, and are able to provide. This is why society shames and looks down upon men who are weak, emotional and unable to provide for their families. —— Society as a whole is structured to provide for the needs of men and women and their children, and shame is used as a way to keep people in line. Shame or judgment is the way society regulates itself without having to resort to violence (by tapping into the hardwired human instinct to fit in). —— Much of what you see as "pride movements" (gay pride, slut pride etc) are just mechanize to normalize socially prohibited lifestyles, which takes away this self-regulation and leads to a more unstable society.-
