🌕 Tether has announced that approximately 250,000 Tether Gold (XAU₮) tokens are in circulation, with each token backed by one troy ounce of physical gold—amounting to over 7.66 tons in total. These tokens can be exchanged for real gold bars, securely stored in Swiss vaults. Recently, Tether introduced a new version of the token—XAUt0, an omnichain evolution of Tether Gold. The first network to support XAUt0 is TON.
