😬US Department of Justice: 220 thousand bitcoin addresses at risk 👀 In December 2020, hackers drained the LuBian pool of 127,426 BTC through a flaw in private key generation. The stolen funds remained inactive for over 3 years, and in June 2024, the hacker moved them to other wallets vulnerable to the same bug as the LuBian pool. ⌨️That same summer, the US Department of Justice cleaned out the hackers' wallets using the same vulnerability, quietly transferring 127,271 BTC (now about $14 billion) to a government wallet. On October 14, 2025, the DOJ filed a confiscation lawsuit, revealing the scheme.
