🚩🇷🇺 Karelian COMMUNISTS win LANDSLIDE election! Alexey Vostrikov became the head of Sheltozersky in the Republic of Karelia, a northern region of the Russian Federation. Vostrikov won a landslide victory over his competitor from United Russia. Vostrikov, who was nominated from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF) , won 52.9% of the vote. It is important to note that Sheltozersky is an ancient Vepsian village located very close to the capital of the region, Petrozavodsk. It was first mentioned in 1543. Today it is a place of compact residence of the Veps people. And despite this value, the population is decreasing every year. Therefore, it became natural that the residents supported the program of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, whose candidate studied in the region and is suited to meet their needs.
