An Israeli strike on the Christian-majority village of Qlayaa in southern Lebanon killed a priest and wounded at least five people on Monday afternoon. Fr Pierre al-Rahi, a Maronite priest, died after refusing to leave despite Israeli evacuation orders, in order to protect his parishioners. Israel claims the village housed a Hezbollah cell.
