Supergroups became really super this time 😃 — Now they can have up to 5,000 members — Creator of the supergroup can set up a public link so anyone knowing that link can join — Any admin of the supergroup can pin a message so it will be the first thing a person sees when he joins — Efficient spam fighting in supergroups: when deleting a message admin also can delete all messages from the specific user, ban this user from group and report spam With those features introduced any group is now allowed to be converted to a supergroup, not only the huge ones.
