2025 reaction faking incident On May 15, 2025, the announcement post of a Telegram contest gained a lot of dislikes, and in turn, Telegram first disabled dislikes just to re-enable them later, and make each new dislike automatically assign two likes. This was suspected to be a response to the fact that the high number of dislikes could be from bot farms.
