Manifesto 2026 Palantir Technologies 2026 The Palantir Manifesto is a 22-point statement published on X outlining a political and technological doctrine centered on national security, Western power and the role of Silicon Valley, arguing that technology companies have a moral obligation to support the state and participate directly in defense, rejecting neutrality and positioning engineers and AI systems as central actors in future warfare. It promotes expanded military capability, including AI-driven weapons, surveillance systems, and integrated data platforms. The manifesto also criticizes pluralism and segments of contemporary culture as weak or “regressive,” contrasting them with a vision of strong, security-focused governance tied to economic and military output. It reflects Palantir’s role in global military and surveillance, providing data analytics tools to defense, intelligence, policing, and immigration systems, and projects a future in which private tech firms operate in state power and conflict.

Gospel of Barnabas Unknown Authorship Likely 16th century The Gospel of Barnabas was an apocryphal text attributed pseudonymously to the apostle Barnabas, presenting a narrative of the life of Jesus that diverged sharply from canonical Christian gospels. The text depicted Jesus as a human prophet rather than divine, denied the crucifixion by claiming that Judas was substituted in his place, and explicitly predicted the coming of the Prophet Muhammad, aligning parts of its narrative with Islamic theology. Despite these parallels, it was not accepted within mainstream Islam, and leading scholars dismissed it as an inauthentic and late composition. Within Christianity, it was formally rejected as non-canonical by church authorities due to its late origin, historical inconsistencies, and theological contradictions with established doctrine. The text circulated intermittently in polemical contexts but remained outside the recognized scriptural traditions of both religions.

On Killing Dave Grossman 1995 On Killing was a study by Dave Grossman examining the psychological and physiological effects of killing in combat. The book argued that most individuals possess a natural resistance to killing others, drawing on historical data—particularly from World War II—to suggest that many soldiers avoided firing directly at enemies. It described how modern military training adapted to overcome this resistance through conditioning techniques that increased firing rates and combat effectiveness. Grossman also explored the emotional aftermath of killing, including trauma, guilt, and desensitization, linking these effects to broader patterns of violence in society. The text extended its argument beyond the military, suggesting that exposure to violent media and simulation could lower inhibitions against violence in civilian contexts. It became influential in military and law enforcement training.

Rebuilding America’s Defenses Project for the New American Century 2000 Rebuilding America’s Defenses was a policy report outlining a strategy for maintaining and expanding U.S. global military dominance in the post–Cold War era. It argued for increased defense spending, modernization of forces, and a more assertive military presence in the Middle East to secure access to key energy resources. It identified Iraq as a central focus, suggesting that even in the absence of Saddam Hussein, a continued U.S. military presence would be necessary. Although written before the September 11 attacks, the report became closely associated with subsequent U.S. interventions in Afghanistan and Iraq, as several of its authors later held positions in government.

The Stevens Report John Stevens 2003 The Stevens Report was a series of investigations led by John Stevens into allegations of collusion between loyalist paramilitaries, particularly the Ulster Defence Association, and elements of British security forces during the Troubles in Northern Ireland. The inquiries found evidence that members of the army and police had shared intelligence with loyalist groups, facilitated targeting, and failed to properly investigate certain killings including the murder of solicitor Pat Finucane. The reports also documented systemic failures and obstruction within security institutions, suggesting that collusion had broader structural dimensions. During the investigations, Stevens’ team reported serious interference, including surveillance, missing or destroyed documents, and a suspicious fire at their offices; there were also allegations that members of the inquiry were threatened, raising concerns about attempts to undermine or intimidate the investigation.

The Camp of the Saints Jean Raspail 1973 The Camp of the Saints is a dystopian novel depicting the collapse of Western civilization following a mass migration from the Global South to Europe, centered on an armada of refugees arriving in France and triggering political paralysis and social breakdown. Raspail frames migration as an existential threat and criticizes liberal humanitarian responses, leading many to interpret it as racist and xenophobic while supporters treated it as a warning about immigration. The book gained influence among right-leaning political figures, with Steve Bannon reportedly citing it as influential, Marine Le Pen referencing similar themes in speeches, and writers connected to Donald Trump’s political orbit promoting it during debates on migration. It sold widely and saw renewed popularity during periods of heightened immigration debate. In April 2026, Amazon removed print editions from its platform under offensive content policies while digital versions remained available.

Tactics of the Crescent Moon: Militant Muslim Combat Methods H. John Poole 2004 Tactics of the Crescent Moon is a military analysis examining insurgent warfare associated with Islamist groups through tactical breakdowns and historical examples. The book described guerrilla methods such as ambushes, infiltration, improvised explosive devices and decentralized cells, emphasizing deception and close combat as advantages against technologically superior forces. It drew on conflicts in Afghanistan, Iraq, Chechnya and Lebanon and groups such as Hezbollah as models of effective insurgency, and that these forces operate within “fourth generation warfare,” where morale, culture, and small-unit initiative outweighed heavy firepower, and where Western militaries were portrayed as disadvantaged by reliance on technology.

The Greater Britain Oswald Mosley 1932 A political manifesto by Oswald Mosley outlining his vision for a fascist transformation of the United Kingdom during the interwar period, criticizingg parliamentary democracy as ineffective and arguing for a centralized, authoritarian state led by a strong executive, combined with corporatist economic planning to manage industry and labor. It promoted economic nationalism, protectionism and the reorganization of society along hierarchical lines. The book also introduced and explained the aims of the British Union of Fascists (BUF), which Mosley founded shortly after publication as a mass political movement modeled in part on Italian Fascism. The BUF grew rapidly in the early 1930s but faced increasing opposition, including violent clashes such as the Battle of Cable Street, after which public support declined; the British government banned the organization in 1940 at the start of World War II, and Mosley and other leaders were interned, effectively ending the movement.
