🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 Weekly Highlights of the Foreign Investors Council This week, the Secretariat continued its active efforts to advance investor initiatives and strengthen cooperation with key stakeholders. 1️⃣A key milestone this week was the 6th Interim Session of the Foreign Investors Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan The session, held with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Jamshid Khodjaev, brought together members of the Foreign Investors Council and government representatives to review key initiatives ahead of the IV Plenary. 2️⃣Participation in the opening ceremony of the Eurasian Development Bank representative office in the country The event gathered government, business, and media representatives to discuss MDBs’ role in Uzbekistan’s economic development. 3️⃣Participation in the FAO Final Project Workshop on Agricultural Land Policy and Land Code Revision Land Code revision and agricultural land policy, focusing on improved land governance and sustainable use of resources. 4️⃣FIC Session on Tashkent International Financial Centre -Participants: Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, International Finance Corporation, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Asian Development Bank, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, J.P. Morgan, Mastercard, TotalEnergies, ACWA, Masdar, Samsung Electronics, EY, KPMG, Air Products, SUEZ, Mitsui & Co., LTD, Sojitz Corporation, EPAM Systems, Knauf, BAT Uzbekistan, Çalık Enerji, OTP Bank, Halyk Bank, , Uzum, Commonwealth Partnership, Crowe, Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, Henley & Partners, Synergy Consulting, Azizov & Partners, Lexminister, Enlawyer, Bomi Engineering and Construction LLC, Solward, British Council, Arbitrage, ADUI. 5️⃣Participation in the “National Investment Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan” JSC (“UzNIF”) Market Debut Reception by Franklin Templeton – The event brought together international investors, government representatives, and business leaders to discuss investment opportunities, economic reforms, and key sectors driving Uzbekistan’s sustainable development. 6️⃣Executive Committee Meeting -Participants: European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Asian Development Bank and International Finance Corporation In addition, meetings were held this week with representatives of Itochu Corporation, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Yandex Uzbekistan. The Foreign Investors Council remains committed to open dialogue and supports the implementation of effective reforms, contributing to the development of a stable and transparent investment environment in Uzbekistan.
