Stefan Sagmeister, «Banana Wall», 2008 "Banana Wall" is an installation made of ten thousand bananas. We were amused by one detail: nestled among the yellow fruit, the words «Self-confidence produces fine results» are spelled out—quite literally, in bananas. Over time, the green bananas ripened, turned yellow, and the message (much like self-confidence) gradually vanished. A few days later, as the surrounding yellow bananas darkened and blackened, the phrase briefly reappeared—only to disappear for good. FirstPass
