"Sell in May" — does it work in crypto? 3 of the last 6 summers saw BTC fall from May to September. Average return: −6%. So yes, the adage technically works. But hold one more month and Uptober flips it: +14.5% avg. The real rule isn't "sell in May" — it's "sell in September".
