❤️🇨🇳🇺🇸 I had the great honor to meet Communist Party of China National Hero Huang Dafa — the modern Yu Gong — who spent 36 years chiseling a 9km canal through Guizhou’s mountains to bring water, irrigation, and prosperity to over 5,000 villagers, lifting them out of poverty. Nearly 10 million residents in Guizhou were lifted out of poverty over 8 years, culminating in 2020 with the elimination of poverty in all 88 counties.
