February is one of the coldest times of year in Moscow, and it was in that frigid month that Australian accountant Graeme Briggs touched down in 2015. He was there for a face-to-face meeting with a client. Briggs took his seat at the upmarket La Maree seafood restaurant, minutes from the Kremlin, to join Herman Gref. Gref was chairman of Russia’s biggest bank, SberBank, and a close associate of Russian President Vladimir Putin, having once served in his ministry. He needed Briggs’s help to protect his vast wealth. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-10-04/pandora-papers-australian-accountant-asiaciti-graeme-briggs-leak/100482936
