🇬🇧Far-right march in London draws 150,000, police injured 👥 Up to 150,000 people joined a far-right march in central London led by activist Tommy Robinson, while a counter-demonstration against racism gathered about 5,000 participants elsewhere in the city. 📣 The rally, under the slogan Unite the Kingdom, passed through Whitehall, home to UK government institutions. 🌱 Uzbekistan Expands Rules on Agricultural Land Leasing Uzbekistan has introduced new rules allowing secondary leasing of farmland. 📌 Citizens and resident companies can now lease agricultural land for 30 years, while enterprises with foreign participation can lease for 25 years. 🏡 The reform also permits the construction of supporting facilities on farmland — such as storage units, cold rooms, sorting and packing centres, and shelters for machinery — based on approved land management plans. 👨‍🌾 Tenants will be able to transfer part of their lease rights to others, while landowners can convert existing rights into lease agreements. 🥇World Boxing 2025: 🇺🇿Uzbekistan’s Erkinboev Becomes Champion in 75 kg Division Uzbek boxer Fazliddin Erkinboev secured a historic gold medal at the World Boxing Championships. In the 75 kg final, he defeated Bulgaria’s Kivan Ramini with a unanimous 5:0 decision. 🌍 The competition, held from 4–14 September in Liverpool, brought together over 500 athletes from 60 countries. Erkinboev advanced through all rounds with confident performances, controlling the pace in the decisive bout and leaving no doubts in the judges’ verdict. 🇺🇿 This victory marks Erkinboev’s first world title among adults and makes him the first Uzbek champion in this weight category under the World Boxing organisation. 🎂👵World’s Oldest Person May Be from Uzbekistan 🇺🇿 Uzbekistan has officially confirmed that Huvaydo Umarova (Toshmatova) from Fergana is 130 years old, born on 1 January 1895. 📜 The discovery came during the Ministry of Justice’s campaign “No Person Left Without Documents.” Officials found she had never been issued a birth certificate, so a district court held a special session to recognise her birth. 🌍 Umarova is now officially the oldest person in Uzbekistan, and possibly the oldest in the world.
