Acceptance tests of the MC-21 prototype aircraft, number 0013, upgraded as part of the import substitution program, have started in the final assembly shop of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant! 🔻The aircraft made its first flight in December 2021, becoming the first aircraft with a wing made of domestic composites. Having passed the tests and confirmed the high quality of domestic composites, the liner began to be improved. 🔻Extensive import substitution work has been carried out on the aircraft. The integrated management system has been replaced with the Russian one. The power supply system has been upgraded. The chassis, wheels, tires, fuel level sensors, etc. The engines were replaced with Russian PD-14s. The interior of the domestic production is installed. 🔻Upon completion of the tests at the factory, the aircraft will begin flight tests.
