The RPL-7, a new Russian light machine gun chambered for 7.62 × 39 mm, has been handed over to the troops for testing. 🔻The machine gun was developed by the Kalashnikov concern, based on the RPL-20 machine gun and modified to meet the requirements of a special military operation. 🔻Purpose: destruction of enemy manpower, as well as unarmored vehicles. 🔻Technical specifications: ☆ caliber: 7.62 × 39 mm; ☆ Cartridge box capacity: 80 rounds; ☆ Aiming range: 800 m; ☆ length with unfolded butt: 1100 mm; ☆ Weight: 5.5 kg. 🔻The package includes a low-noise firing device, a removable bipod, a front handle, machine gun belts and cartridge boxes. An optical and night sight, a designator, and a flashlight are provided for conducting sniper fire. 🔻For the first time, the machine gun was presented at the IDEX 2025 International Arms and Defense Technology Exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
