Roskomnadzor (RKN) has gained complete control over the Runet (the Russian segment of the internet). 🔻The government has signed Resolution No. 1667, granting the agency the authority to issue orders to operators and providers, change traffic routes and redirect it through its own servers, implement blocking and filtering, and even take manual control over the entire Runet and isolate it from the global internet. 🔻These measures are stated to be aimed at enhancing the security of Russians online. 🔻The resolution will come into force on March 1, 2026.
