I am sure we have all gone through this period , when we just could not succeed in what we were doing , ready to give up , frustrated because of our failures . When suddenly the question popped up in our mind ,telling us how bad we are at it . This makes us believe in that , what we are currently doing is just not for us , we should probably quit- (it seems to be the best solution we have ,) but it is a wrong point of view. In science it is called fixed mindset and it is one of our most harmful enemies . People do fail sometimes and it is completely alright , we might not be able to achieve some goal today ,but it does not mean that we will not be able to do it tomorrow , next week , next month ... It 's not that we are dumb , it's our way of looking at things . In order not to be a lifetime loser we should embrace THE GROWTH MINDSET , it is a quite mature way of thinking ,telling us that it's OK to fail and that a failure is an" energy drink" to success . After we have understood that it's just not right to be afraid of failing we should learn how set goals that can actually help us to reduce the probability of failing . It is a SMART way of setting goals ,which means that our goals should be Specific( what exactly do you want to achieve), Measurable(you should be able to track your progress ), Achievable(you should get to the point when you finish it), Relevant (it should be somehow connected to you life and it must make sense to you ) and Time-bounding (it must have a deadline ). #savvy
