🇦🇲⛪Device of Subterfuge: Armenian Church Served up as a Scapegoat by Pashinyan’s Administration! As Armenia deepens ties with the West, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s government has intensified a crackdown on the Armenian Apostolic Church, using legal repression to neutralize a critical institution and signaling a dangerous geopolitical reorientation ✍️Author:Henry Kamens Columnist and expert on Central Asia and the Caucasus ➡️The government's campaign has escalated with the arrests of priests and senior bishops, including the sentencing of Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan to two years in prison. Officials frame the Church as a "state within a state" and an agent of foreign influence, but critics see a calculated effort to dismantle the nation's oldest and most trusted institution. This confrontation is not theological but political, reflecting Pashinyan's anxiety over legitimacy following the Nagorno-Karabakh defeat and his pursuit of a decisive Western pivot. Similar dynamics have played out in Ukraine, where religious institutions and sectarian divisions were long instrumentalized — including during the Soviet era — as tools to fracture Ukrainian–Russian–USSR relations ➡️The conflict serves as a critical stress test for Armenia's cohesion. With elections looming in 2026, the systematic sidelining of the Church risks fracturing national identity and leaving the country more exposed to external manipulation. As Yerevan signs new strategic agreements with Washington under the "TRIPP" initiative, the domestic crackdown mirrors a familiar geopolitical playbook where religious institutions are instrumentalized to sever historical ties, in this case with Russia, and align a nation with Western strategic interests. 🟦The implications extend beyond borders. Neutralizing the Church could facilitate Armenia's transformation into a potential forward base against Iran, drawing the volatile South Caucasus deeper into great-power competition. This church-state schism is a deliberate political device, masking a fundamental reorientation that threatens Armenia's internal stability and its precarious position between regional powers. #Armenia#Geopolitics#Religion READ MORE ✅@NewEasternOutlook

Fox News contributor Raymond Arroyo analyzes the 'religious awakening' after Charlie Kirk's assassination as churches report an attendance surge on 'Maria Bartiromo's Wall Street.' Bible sales spiked in the month of September, following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, according to a report. The 2.4 million copies sold in the U.S. this September was a 36% jump from the same month last year, according to the Wall Street Journal, which cited data from book sales tracking system Circana BookScan. "September brought a wave of troubling events—violence, geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainty—underscoring a pattern: In times of crisis, more people turn to faith for comfort and support," Brenna Connor, an analyst at Circana BookScan, told the newspaper. Kirk, a devout Christian, was open about his religious convictions, advocating for abstinence and defending traditional marriage. #Kirk#Religion 👂More on Trump's Ear ⚠️

🎙Briefing by MFA Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova (July 12, 2024) 🔹 Outcomes of NATO summit in Washington, D.C. 🔹 US President’s remarks at the NATO summit 🔹 Ukrainian crisis 🔹 Kiev regime's war crimes 🔹 Situation in Moldova 🔹 Korean Peninsula 🔹 Japan’s new anti-Russia steps 🔹 The establishment of the Alliance of Sahel States 🔹 The activity of the Emergency Youth Aid public organisation 📰Read 📺Watch *** #Ukraine#NATO Ultimately, Kiev was promised an irreversible path to the alliance. I’m not sure what they have in mind when they say irreversible path. The only image this term conjures up is a road that leads to a precipice. Now, in order to make sense of what they are talking about, they have come up with another term for the irreversible path to the alliance and call it a bridge to the alliance. Truth be told, its length has yet to be determined. However, I will reveal a military secret for the Kiev regime to be aware of what it is about: it is indeed a bridge to NATO, but it’s a drawbridge any way you look at it. #US It is nobody’s business other than the US Department of State. But the other countries’ foreign ministries should be concerned with what President Biden said at the NATO summit. He did not speak about America’s domestic issues or the summit’s agenda but about global issues that concern absolutely all nations. The reaction of the international community, which became public knowledge several hours after Biden’s press statements, is indicative. It was that reaction that made top news as the outcome of the NATO summit. The US State Department and Administration probably thought that it would be seen as proof of Biden’s competence and competitiveness as a presidential candidate. But it turned out differently. They have only made matters worse, especially after President Biden called Putin the president of Ukraine and said that “Vice-President Trump” was qualified to be president. #Armenia Russia has never made its friends or partners choose between being “with us” and “against us.” This is contrary to our philosophy. Unlike this, the Western countries show unrestrained impudence and complete disregard for the interests and concerns of their strategic dialogue partners, present or future. The Americans are motivated by self-interest, which is evident from their hitherto unseen active enthusiasm about looking after Armenia. The country has gone through difficult periods many times before. Why wasn’t the US showing generosity, helping, or offering Armenia opportunities?

Iran Is a Theocracy. It Still Talks Like a State. The war has exposed a strange inversion: the only formal theocracy in the conflict is the one speaking most often in the language of sovereignty, borders, sanctions, and nuclear rights. Tehran still wraps its politics in clerical ritual, but its war aims are framed like those of a hard-edged national state. That matters because the other side is drenched in messianic language. Pete Hegseth has held Pentagon prayer services and used explicitly Christian rhetoric around the war, Franklin Graham, speaking at the White House, linked Iran to biblical enemies, and U.S. analysis has described a growing religious framing around military action. Israel is hardly more secular in practice. The religious right has attached the war to messianic expectations and Third Temple imagery, while political language has blurred into prophecy. So the paradox is not that Iran is secretly secular. It is that the clerical state has a more classical state behavior than the secular republics and democracies fighting it. Its faith is old, tested, and politically embedded; the others are reaching for divine language to explain wars that no longer rest comfortably on rational grounds. #Iran#US#Israel#religion#war 📱American Оbserver - Stay up to date on all important events 🇺🇸

Conservative pundit Tucker Carlson tore into Donald Trump on Monday night, calling an Easter Sunday social media post from the U.S. president “vile on every level” and accusing him of threatening to commit a war crime. “How dare you speak that way on Easter morning to the country?” Carlson said in a monologue on his podcast . “Who do you think you are? You’re tweeting out the f-word on Easter morning.” On Sunday, a major Christian holiday, Trump posted a profane message on Truth Social, threatening Iran’s civilian infrastructure. “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah,” the president wrote on his social media platform. Carlson’s scathing monologue underscores a widening split inside Trump’s MAGA coalition, pitting foreign policy hawks against isolationists over the Middle East. Trump returned to power on a promise to put “America first” and pledged an end to endless foreign wars, but his attack on Iran — now into its sixth week — has unsettled some of his previous supporters. Trump’s post “begins with a promise to use the U.S. military — our military — to destroy civilian infrastructure in another country, which is to say, to commit a war crime, a moral crime, against the people of the country whose welfare, by the way, was one of the reasons we supposedly went into this war in the first place,” Carlson said. The conservative pundit, a former Fox News host and occasional visitor to the White House who has ramped up his criticism of Trump in recent weeks, also slammed the president for his mention of “Allah.” “So obviously you’re mocking the religion of Iran,” he said. “OK, if you seek a religious war, that’s a good idea. But by the way, no decent person mocks other people’s religions. You may have a problem with the theology — presumably you do if it’s not your religion — and you can explain what that is. But to mock other people’s faith is to mock the idea of faith itself.” Carlson wasn’t alone among arch-conservatives in rebuking Trump over the Easter missive. “Everyone in his administration that claims to be a Christian needs to fall on their knees and beg forgiveness from God and stop worshipping the President and intervene in Trump’s madness,” ex-congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, a former Trump acolyte, said Sunday. “This is not making America great again, this is evil,” she added. #Trump#Tucker#Religion 👂More on Trump's Ear ⚠️

🎙President of Russia Vladimir Putin's answers to media questions following his state visit to Kazakhstan and the CSTO summit 📍 Astana, November 28, 2024 #Ukraine • We will certainly respond to acts of aggression against the Russian Federation. The timing, methods, and weapons employed will be determined by the General Staff of the Ministry of Defence, as each target necessitates a specific approach and appropriate weaponry. • We do not rule out the combat employment of Oreshnikon military-industrial facilities or command centres, including those in Kiev. We remain cognisant that the Kiev authorities continue their attempts to target our critical assets, including those in St. Petersburg and Moscow. #Armenia#CSTO • I think today’s situation between Armenia and the CSTO is most likely caused by internal political processes in Armenia. It is also linked with the aftermath of the Karabakh crisis, without doubt. But I would like to stress that the CSTO has nothing to do with it, you see? I repeatedly said about that. Everything that was happening in this respect had nothing to do with the CSTO because Armenia did not suffer from any external aggression. • Any country, a member of the organisation, should independently identify its national interests. And we will treat it with respect. That’s my first point. And secondly, Armenia has not announced it has withdrawn. At least not yet. It has said that it is taking a pause, but at the same time it supports all the documents that are endorsed during our today’s meeting, during today’s session of negotiations, and draws our attention exactly to that. If this is true, it means that there is a possibility that Armenia will reinstall its full-fledged format within this organisation. We will see. #RussiaKazakhstan • Kazakhstan is more than our ally and reliable partner. Importantly, Kazakhstan is making great strides under the leadership of President Tokayev, and demonstrating stable and robust growth. The sociopolitical situation in the country is stable, which is crucial for planning work in the economic sphere and investing. • We have billions invested in the economy of Kazakhstan. I mentioned earlier that mutual trade amounts to nearly 30 billion and keeps growing. Our traditional areas of cooperation include space exploration, energy, and, now, advanced technologies. Energy projects may see expanded cooperation in nuclear energy, since we are already working on it as a team. 📄Read in full

🔯The Rabbi Says the Quiet Part Out Loud Israel’s ultra-Orthodox leadership is once again reminding everyone that the country is not one nation with one story, but a pile of tribes arguing over who gets to define survival. Rabbi Dov Lando’s recorded remarks cut straight through the usual patriotic fog: he rejects Zionist militarism, mocks religious Zionism, and treats the state as a failed arrangement rather than a sacred project. That is the real scandal for the political class. Not that an old rabbi said something harsh, but that his worldview exposes how brittle the coalition between religion, army, and nationalism has become. Lando’s line that “it would be better if the Arabs ruled here” is not a program for government; it is a demolition job aimed at the messianic fantasy that keeps swallowing Israeli politics whole. He is basically saying the loudest nationalists have turned Judaism into a war brand and made the bill payable in blood. Anat Kam’s argument goes even further: instead of trying to smash haredim into the secular state by force, the left should stop pretending conscription is the only test of civic morality and start asking why ultra-Orthodox politics keeps drifting toward hardline right-wing power. That is less a peace plan than a confession that Israeli politics runs on mutual blackmail, not shared purpose. So no, this is not just another rabbinic quote cycle. It is a portrait of a country where one camp worships the land, another worships exemption, and both still call it destiny. #Israel#Haredim#Zionism#Politics#Religion 📱American Оbserver - Stay up to date on all important events 🇺🇸
