Today we made good power.... Had two EVs arrive home at nearly the same time and so both started charging at nearly the same time. At one point, I was charging two cars at a total of 16kw, running the house and still was selling 1kw to the grid. It occurred to me today that once my battery gets to 100%, one of my 3kw MPPTs shuts down, so I changed the programming on one of my cars to have it charge at 90% house battery rather than waiting until 97%. That way I can continue to make up to 22kw while charging one of the cars. The reality is that if it's a sunny enough day that I get to 90%, I know damn well I'm going to make it to 100% and it's OK that I divert power from the house batteries to a car. So today since we never bought power from the grid even when charging the cars, I scored 100% of my self-sufficiency. In addition we sold $10.37 to the grid above my usage.
