🤩Nobel Prize Winners of Polytech On November 1, 1956, Nikolai Semenov, a professor at Polytech and one of the founders of chemical physics, received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for establishing the mechanism of gas-phase reactions, in particular, homogeneous monomolecular decomposition and branched chain reactions. Nikolai Nikolayevich became the first Russian scientist to win the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.🔥 Being a student of Abram Ioffe, he became a lecturer at the Petrograd Polytechnic Institute at the age of 24. Very soon, Associate Professor N.N. Semenov himself founded his own school, which colleagues aptly dubbed "Semenov's Regiment". Many outstanding polytechnic physicists were Semenov's students.
