🩹 St. Petersburg Polytechnic scientists have created Russia's first medical "Smart Dressing" for healing chronic wounds with electrostimulation. The dressing uses a bioelectrode consisting of a composite based on graphene, polymiimide and chitosan gel. Electrostimulation leads to faster and more effective healing of wounds and ulcers, providing hemostatic, antimicrobial and regeneration stimulating action, increases the effectiveness and speed of penetration of pharmacological agents, reduces the likelihood of scar tissue formation.
