New rules for entry into Russia for foreign citizens * effective June 30, 2025 What has changed? A mandatory online entry application is required for citizens of visa-free countries. The application must be submitted at least 72 hours before crossing the border. It is done through “Gosuslugi”, in the section for foreign citizens. If the application is approved, you receive a unique code, which you present at border control. It will be impossible to enter Russia without this code. Step-by-step algorithm of actions 1️⃣ Download the application “Gosuslugi” 2️⃣ Register in advance on the “Gosuslugi” portal as a foreign citizen. 3️⃣ Submit an online application for entry (no later than 72 hours before entering the Russian Federation). 4️⃣ Make sure that all documents are available. 5️⃣ Receive confirmation (QR code). 6️⃣ Pass biometrics when entering the Russian Federation.
