🇹🇷#Turkey: There's been a serious shootout in Turkey this morning. Six ISIS militants, all of whom were Turkish citizens, along with three police officers, were killed in clashes in Elmalik village. Turkish security forces conducted multiple raids on ISIS hideouts, during which a firefight broke out. Reports say the militants opened fire as soon as they realized the raid was underway. The operation comes amid intensified measures against such cells ahead of New Year celebrations, following intelligence warnings of potential IS attacks. (via Al Jazeera)
