🇬🇧#UK: The UK Ministry of Defence has released footage on its X account showing British troops taking cover at a Middle East base during an aerial attack. The incident took place amid a sustained wave of drone and missile strikes targeting coalition bases in Iraq during the recent escalation period before the ceasefire, possibly carried out by Iran or Iran-aligned groups operating in the region, including umbrella networks such as the "Islamic Resistance in Iraq". Subsequently, the MoD also released a second video showing RAF counter-drone units shooting down a drone, stating that for the past few months, British counter-drone units were “protecting UK personnel, partners and allies from persistent drone attacks” in the Middle East.
