Agafia of Siberia #video#Russia Agafia Lykova hasn’t been bothered by the pandemic in the slightest. That’s because she has been living deep in the Siberian taiga all by herself for quite some time! Agafia was born 77 years ago to a family of Old Believers, members of an Orthodox Christian sect who fled religious persecution during Soviet times. When Agafia’s family was first discovered in 1978, they looked like peasants straight from the 18th century. That was the first time she had ever met outsiders. All her family members are long gone, but Agafia has never left her hut in the forest. She reads the Bible, speaks old Slavonic and remains self-sufficient to this day.
