Foster child abandoned twice #video#Russia Yulia is a cheeky little girl who’s been betrayed twice in her life. She lived her early life in a children’s home for children with mental and physical disabilities in southern Russia. Yulia was finally taken to live with a family but soon began having tantrums and aggressive behaviour. The process was too overwhelming and emotional for her adoptive mother, who couldn’t handle the challenge. So she put Yulia back in a children’s home. Adoption isn’t easy - it takes both children and parents time to work through past traumas. The documentary, My Forever Family, features the story of Yulia and her adoptive mother, showing the heartbreaking and challenging part of adoption. Check it out to find out why special needs children need more attention, patience and resources. While there are no precise numbers, it’s estimated almost ten percent of adoptions fail.
