#video In 2014, Donbass residents refused to recognise the results of “Maidan”, which sparked a severe reaction from the Ukrainian authorities. Donetsk Airport became a base for the Ukrainian military in the conflict because of its location. They succeeded in taking it over and used the control tower as the base for shelling the militia and peaceful citizens. One of the main objectives was retaking the airport control tower. The film features burnt homes, people seeking for shelter, and victims of shelling from the airport.
