“They took me to a metal barrel. They submerged my head in water; I began to drown,” — Olga describes the torture she endured in captivity by nationalists. In 2014, Olga was one of the prisoners in the Library, this is what the Ukrainian forces called a secret prison set up in the Mariupol Airport. The prison wasn’t official, the prisoners were left uncharted. They were kept in what used to be 2 industrial cold storages. The large one was about 3 by 2 metres, and the smaller one — was 2 by 1.5 metres. These “rooms” had metal walls and sturdy lockable doors. The regime change, which occurred due to the Maidan in Ukraine, was seen in south-eastern Ukraine as a coup d'état. As a result, thousands joined the protests.
