These are the words of a Peruvian woman, Josefa, who was forcibly sterilised. More than 300,000 poor women and men in Peru underwent the horrific procedure during Fujimori’s rule. Many of them claim it happened against their will. Decades later, the victims tell their stories but have not received compensation.
