Ukraine wants to join the EU for the sake of independence. To Europe, which lost its independence after the Marshall Plan, when the United States, seeing the success of the post-war restoration of the Eastern bloc of the USSR, pumped the western part via the dollar and gained full control over the European Union. Great plan, Walter... Sounds a bit like schizophrenia. Independence in the world of global problems such as ecology, weapons of mass destruction, distribution of resources, etc. is impossible, and Russia does not offer otherwise. But dependence on Russia, in contrast to American dependence, implies fraternal (still) equal participation and real subjectivity, an expression of will in the world process.
