Situation south of Lebanon [17/4/2026]: The Israeli army withdrew from Bint Jbeil and Khiam.🇱🇧🇮🇱 Following the ceasefire, the IDF withdrew to the outskirts of Bint Jbeil, allowing Hezbollah and resistance groups to resupply the besieged troops. In Khiam, the resistance managed to thwart Israel’s attempts to occupy the town after more than a month of fighting and forced the Israeli withdrawal to Tell al-Hamamis to the south-west. Following the withdrawal, Israel violated the ceasefire by bombing the town just as its inhabitants were returning. Thousands of civilians are returning to southern Lebanon following the announcement of the ceasefire, including by crossing the Litani River after the destruction of the bridges, in the hope of remaining in what remains their home, removing the flag of occupation and colonialism. Whilst the countryside celebrates your resistance, we in Syria observe the enemy’s attempts to recover from their defeat by infiltrating behind the veil of ‘political understandings’ and dubious international channels. And here we state it clearly: any effort or approach that the authorities in Damascus may undertake are options that do not reflect the spirit of our rifle and do not compromise our path. We are a resistance movement that believes sovereignty is won, not granted, and that any attempt to drag our country into the orbit of “fragile agreements” will face the reality of our presence on the ground as a force that does not accept negotiation. And our strength is measured not only by our arsenals, but also by those loyal Syrian crowds who filled the squares in support of Gaza. These freedom-loving people are our strategic reserve, and they are the popular guarantee that consciously rejects any form of submission under the pretext of ‘political reality’. The very same people who shouted for Palestine are the same who will stand as an impregnable wall against attempts to drag Syria into the arena of silent concessions. Although we have not yet declared that we are entering into open confrontation, today we announce that we are stepping up the pace of general mobilisation amongst our mujahideen. We are monitoring the enemy’s incursions into southern Syria with the utmost caution, and let this enemy know that our current silence is not a retreat, but rather a ‘sniper’s wait’. The same hand that rejects any suspicious security agreement is the same hand that is preparing to impose the will of the battlefield when the time comes, and the ink on documents will not prevent us from fulfilling our national and ethical duty. And finally, to our comrades in Lebanon: O comrades in blood, the unity of the battlefields is not a slogan, but a destiny and a calling. Your victory is our victory, and our resistance to backroom deals is an extension of your jihad. 🚨🇮🇱⚔️🇱🇧 Bint Jbeil — Siege Broken Hezbollah Resupply Corridor Opens 🗓️April 15/2026 — Day 44 ❤️ Hezbollah has broken the encirclement around Bint Jbeil a green supply corridor showing fighters and supplies flowing south directly into the town. ❤️ Tunnel networks likely played a key role allowing Hezbollah to move reinforcements into the town center undetected while IDF held the surface perimeter. ➡️ Blue arrows show IDF pulling back from the town center to the outskirts repositioning toward the western edges rather than holding interior positions. ⚔️ The dark contested zone still surrounds Bint Jbeil, but Hezbollah now controls the northern entry rendering the encirclement effectively broken. 💡 IDF’s withdrawal from the center handed Hezbollah the window it needed the town is resupplied and the siege has collapsed. Towards the end of the regional war?🇮🇷🇺🇸 Just one day after the ceasefire came into effect in Lebanon, Iran announced the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. This may have been a gesture of goodwill from Tehran following recent events, creating more favorable conditions for a new and definitive round of negotiations with the US. However, the reopening of the strait will be subject to strict Iranian monitoring. According to the IRGC: 1. Civilian vessels may only transit via the route designated by Iran. 2. The transit of military vessels through the strait remains prohibited. 3. All transits require authorization from the IRGC Naval Forces. 4. Transit shall take place in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and following the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon. 5. Vessels must have no links to the US or Israel, nor must their cargo. The regional war in the Middle East could be over, for now. It will depend on the progress of future negotiations. Over the last 48 hours, the Israeli army advanced west of the Jabal Balat base, entering the villages of Marwahin, Umm Touteh, Boustane and Yarine, causing significant destruction to these villages as part of the plan for permanent occupation and the complete elimination of Hezbollah within an 8 km buffer zone. B. In Khiam, the IDF made minor advances in the north of the town, where fighting with Hezbollah continues.
