Announcement regarding Google Drive’s Shared drives support in Swift Backup Hello Swift Backup users, Due to recent changes in Google’s policy, the ‘drive’ scope, which allows access to shared drives, now requires an annual CASA Tier 3 security assessment. This assessment costs at least $4,500 each year, which is not feasible for me as an individual developer. Starting with the next update, the ‘drive’ scope will be removed from Swift Backup. This means you will no longer be able to back up to shared drives on Google Drive. Regular backups to your personal Google Drive will continue to work as usual. If you have existing backups on shared drives, please use the current version of the app to restore them before updating to the new version. In case you’re seeing any warnings or notifications from Google, go to Swift Backup settings > Cloud backups > Google Drive access mode, and set the access mode to normal. Disconnect & Re-connect Google Drive in the app. Thank you for your understanding.
