I was told by my Chechen friends about similar things. Chechens had to bury lots of dead Russian soldiers themselves, not because they respected them, but because they were being eaten by dogs on a streets and afterwards dogs would attack humans. Unfortunately there was no internet at that time to share with a world all the inhumane atrocities that were being committed in those times.
