Today the whole digital world is celebrating bitcoin's birthday 🤑 It happened on January 3, 2009 when the genesis block was mined, containing the date and a short excerpt from The Times article: “The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks”. Later, on January 12, Satoshi Nakamoto🥷 made the first ever transaction in the cryptocurrency network: he sent the coins to the developer Hal Finney. Nine months later, on October 5, bitcoin was listed on the New Liberty Standard exchange. It's hard to imagine, but back then $1 could get you 1309 coins😱 And we just wanna say thank you to Satoshi and bitcoin for disrupting the digital world and giving impetus to the massive introduction of blockchain into our lives! 🎉
