🇺🇸 🇬🇧The UK has unveiled plans to create a joint Northern Fleet to counter Russia. The UK, along with its northern European allies, is developing plans to create a new maritime alliance to counter Russia. This was announced by the UK's First Sea Lord, General Gwyn Jenkins. Jenkins' proposal is based on the model of the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF), which has operated under UK command since 2014. This regional defense alliance includes 10 Nordic countries: the UK, Denmark, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland, Sweden, and Estonia.
